Biography

A graduate of the Medical Academy in Warsaw. After graduation, she worked at the Clinic of Internal Medicine and Endocrinology of the Medical University of Warsaw, where she obtained a specialization in internal medicine (2009), then endocrinology (2014) and diabetology (2017). She gained her professional experience by training in university hospitals in the UK (Manchester, Glasgow) and in Germany (Frankfurt am Main).

She also completed postgraduate studies in the field of Dietetic Counseling at the SGGW in Warsaw. Since 2021 he has been working as a professor at the Clinic of Internal Medicine and Gerontocardiology of the CMKP of the Independent Public Clinical Hospital named after Professor Witold Orłowski in Warsaw, where he runs the Obesity Treatment Clinic. In parallel with her clinical work, she conducts research at the Institute of Experimental and Clinical Medicine of the Polish Academy of Sciences, where she obtained successively the degrees of Doctor (2006) and Doctor of Habilitation of Medical Sciences (2019). The main current of clinical activity is the diagnosis and treatment of thyroid diseases, diabetes and obesity, and scientific work — research on the pathomechanisms leading to the development of obesity and related metabolic complications.

She is an academic lecturer and author of several dozen original and illustrative works in the field of endocrinology and diabetology. Privately — mother of two teenagers and passionate about skiing.
